Let’s Talk: Core Pillars before Goals

Before jumping gung-ho into this year’s goals, let’s take a pit stop to check our "machinery."

These daily habits are like the oil and fuel that keep us running smoothly—ready to tackle whatever life throws our way. 


Why wait until we hit a wall? 


Core Pillars Checklist:
Sleep 😴

Boring, right? But quality, quantity, and good sleep hygiene make a world of difference. Since counting sheep more often, I’ve got way more pep!


Light ☀️

Getting enough daylight? Especially on these dreary winter days? I stick my head outside a window, soak in the glow, and take a few deep breaths (bonus points!).


Movement 🏃‍♀️

Daily—some is always better than none. My favourite: stairs between meetings. Easy win!


Nutrition 🥒

Tiny tweaks make big changes. For snacks I choose crunchy veggies and seeds. Yummier than it sounds!


Relationships 💕

Who’s a battery charger, and who’s a drainer? This one’s tricky but worth the time and reflection. I’m learning who to lean on when I need a boost.


Stress 🎶 “Eeek!”

What’s your go-to trick to level up? Conscious breathwork is one of my lifesavers. 


Self-Regulation 🤿

Probably the MVP ⭐ . Check in with your body, mind, and emotions. 

On busy days, I set a morning reminder to pause regularly—even briefly—and take stock again at night. Build the habit on calm days so it sticks when it counts.
